The equine training centre of Cenaia is situated in the beautiful province of Pisa. It covers an area of 35 hectares and is characterised by a climate which promotes the well-being of the horses. The centre is owned by the Botti family and has undergone significant developments throughout the years. There are two uphill courses which are very similar to Warren Hill at Newmarket – the home of thoroughbred horse racing in England. We have invested a lot in the quality of our facilities and increased the number of box stalls available in order to achieve better results. A few years ago, we also invested in a water walker aimed at the rest and recovery of some horses.
The centre at Cenaia consists of:
- A 1200m uphill, woodchip course
- A 1100m uphill, all-weather course
- A 1100m grass course
- 3 walkers: two hold 10 horses and one holds 8 horses
- 1 water walker
- One covered all-weather track for warming the horses up
- 120 box stalls lined with rubber
- Paddock for daily relax
- Analysis laboratory with professional equipment
This training centre is one of the best in Italy, which, together with the highly competent staff that works there on a daily basis, is achieving excellent results. Many horses which were trained here have gone on to achieve international fame, such as: Crackerjack King, Cherry Collect, Ramonti, Silver Cup, Becrux and many more. Stefano Botti has trained horses here for more than ten years.
